BEHAVIOUR ANALYST

my approach...

I am a board certified behaviour analyst (BCBA) that designs home programming for young leaners, provides parent coaching, works directly with youth and facilitates girls social groups.  What is of utmost importance to me is creating supports that is individualized to the needs and values of the child and the family, while following evidence-based research.  My philosophy is to provide proactive strategies, teach in the natural environment as much as possible and focus on functional skills for each client that moves them closer to what is important to them.  Each child is unique in their interests and abilities, and I believe programming should be a reflection of the individual and neuro-affirming.

MACP: Counselling for youth, adolescents, adults and families

I have recently completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am passionate in supporting youth, families, and individuals from diverse backgrounds and needs. My approach is to connect with my clients in an open and non-judgemental manner, to establish a trusting relationship for self-exploration. My goal is to support individuals and families to work through difficult feelings or stressors, while considering personal values, strengths, and self-autonomy.

I take great consideration of being culturally responsive, supporting individuals struggling with stress, perfectionism, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship, and family challenges. I bring to my practice previous experience supporting neurodivergent youth and their families; understanding that each individual brings a unique lens. I strive in supporting individuals with developing self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-advocacy skills.

Please reach out if interested in working together.  I am happy to provide a free 15 minutes consultation to ensure I am the right fit.
